Als Kunstschaffende versteht sich Theresia Philipp als politisches Subjekt. Durch ihre musikalischen Arbeiten bezieht die in Köln lebende Saxofonistin, Klarinettistin und Komponistin Haltung und so ist es für sie nur folgerichtig, dass sie die in Kooperation von NICA artist development und Cologne Jazzweek 2024 vergebene Auftragskomposition nutzt, um Stücke mit dem für diesen Anlass neu besetzten Sextett uraufzuführen. Philipp's Kompositionen, inspiriert von Wirken und Texten von FLINTA* Personen sowie eigenen Texten sind eine kraftvolle Hommage für diejenigen, die für Freiheit und Gleichberechtigung kämpfen. 
Auf der Bühne werden die Sängerin und Klangkünstlerin Lynn Cassiers aus Brüssel sowie die Kölner Posaunistin Shannon Barnett (u. a. Shannon Barnett Quartett, Wolves and Mirrors), die auch mit ihrer Stimme in Erscheinung tritt, den Worten zu klanglicher Entfaltung verhelfen. Philipp und Barnett sind sich bereits durch früheres Zusammenarbeiten bekannt. Gleichermaßen verhält es sich mit Philipp und dem Kontrabassisten Robert Lucaciu (u. a. Filippou/Lucaciu, Fallen Crooner) aus Leipzig. Erstmalig kollaboriert Philipp neben Cassiers mit dem Schlagzeuger Kresten Osgood aus Kopenhagen und dem in Berlin ansässigen Gitarristen Keisuke Matsuno. 
Alle beteiligten Musiker:innen sind national wie international renommierte Solist:innen, die mit ihrer individuellen Präsenz die Musiklandschaft prägen. Theresia Philipp versteht es gekonnt, die einzigartigen Stärken der Bandmitglieder zu bündeln und einen. Das Ergebnis ist eine Musik, die von energetischer Offenheit, Kraft und transparenter Verletzlichkeit geprägt ist. Es entsteht ein kollektiver Sound, der Raum für kreative Freiheit schafft und die Neugierde auf die Konzertpremiere auf der Cologne Jazzweek weckt.

As an artist Theresia Philipp sees herself as a political subject. The Cologne-based saxophonist, clarinettist and composer takes a stance through her musical work, so it is only logical for her to use the commissioned composition awarded in cooperation with NICA artist development and Cologne Jazzweek 2024 to premiere pieces with the new sextet formed for the occasion. Philipp's compositions, inspired by the work and lyrics of FLINTA* people as well as her own lyrics, are a powerful tribute to those who fight for freedom and equality. On stage the singer and sound artist Lynn Cassiers from Brussels and the Cologne trombonist Shannon Barnett (Shannon Barnett Quartet, Wolves and Mirrors, among others), who also appears with her voice, will help the words to unfold sonically. Philipp and Barnett are already known to each other from previous collaborations. The same applies to Philipp and double bassist Robert Lucaciu (Filippou/Lucaciu, Fallen Crooner, among others) from Leipzig. In addition to Cassiers, Philipp is collaborating for the first time with drummer Kresten Osgood from Copenhagen and Berlin-based guitarist Keisuke Matsuno. All of the musicians involved are nationally and internationally renowned soloists who are making their mark on the musical landscape with their individual presence. Theresia Philipp skilfully knows how to combine and unite the unique strengths of the band members. The result is music that is characterised by energetic openness, power and transparent vulnerability. It creates a collective sound that provides space for creative freedom and arouses curiosity for the concert premiere at the Cologne Jazzweek.
